The AHR CR Annual Awards ceremony is a culmination of the conference and it is always an unforgettable experience.
We have been visiting the conference regularly for several years and we are always thrilled by the perfect organization on the AHR CR’s part. Thank you very much!! We are always looking forward to meeting with our acquaintances and colleagues from inside the industry, but especially to the lectures that prove to be a great asset enriching not just our business (boarding house, restaurant), but surprisingly also our private lives. The choice of lecturers always reaches high standards and the topics are profoundly interesting and instructive. Every year, we leave absolutely excited and full of new knowledge, positive thinking, optimism and intense desire to apply everything we have learnt from the lecturers, from the exhibitors and from the colleagues into the practical side of our business-making and into our personal lives. We are already looking forward to this year's round very much. So see you in Ostrava!!
I have been attending the conferences on a regular basis for many years, and I have been also bringing my successors along lately. At each conference, some lecture has always been particularly beneficial to us; we have been acquiring new information about the latest developments in our industry and the outlooks for the future. It is both through the formal and informal conversations that we assure ourselves we are not “in trouble” alone. We meet with friends, we get together in person with the suppliers and, despite the much “exhausting” evening programs, we also relax.
As a rule, the AHR CR Annual Conference is a great social event, a stimulating meeting with colleagues and friends as well as the top professional event of the year. I have earmarked the date in my diary and I am looking forward to this year’s round. I hope that it will attract even more hoteliers again!
The AHR CR, or the former NFHR respectively, has always been an association that brought together the professionals and enthusiasts in our industry. Personally, I have been through a period of mistrust in any association, but today I am saying that not attending the AHR Annual Conference means not being one of those who design the present and the future of the Czech hospitality and gastronomy.
“You do not want to meet with colleagues from inside the industry? You do not want to meet with our industry leaders? You do not want to broaden your horizons? ... So what do you actually want!? “ (the last sentence of the “Bony a klid” movie, 1987). I am looking forward to meeting with those who DO want at the conference in Ostrava... :-)
For me, the annual conference is a yearly meeting with people who are still striving for a good reputation of our industry. It involves visiting high-quality seminars on the given issues, but in the first place attending the General Assembly where, by voting as a member, I have the opportunity to influence the course of the AHR CR’s future actions, and I regard this as my duty.
